2. Accueil
Les représentants des nouveaux comités d'histoire de l'art candidats au CIHA se présentent aux membres de l'Assemblée Générale et définissent brièvement l'action qu'ils entendent mener au sein du CIHA et les perspectives qui sont les leurs à l'intérieur de leur pays respectifs : Irena Krasevac pour la Croatie et Rachida Triki pour la Tunisie. Tous expriment la volonté de former et d’accueillir davantage d’historiens de l’art et de peser, avec l'aide du CIHA, sur les politiques patrimoniales.
MC présente alors la publication des actes du colloque de Maribor (mai 2011), Art and Architecture around 1400. Global and Regional Perspectives, avec le soutien financier de Maribor Capitale Européenne de la Culture en 2012. TD la félicite pour cette nouvelle et passionnante contribution à la bibliographie du CIHA.
CP, nouvelle présidente du Comité Français d'Histoire de l'Art (CFHA), accueille les participants à l'Assemblée Générale et se réjouit de ce que le CFHA, sept ans après le colloque, Histoire de l'art et anthropologie, organise à nouveau, à l'initiative de TD, un colloque touchant la question de la civilisation et de la place de l'art.
3. Approbation des minutes des 15 et 18.07.2012
Les minutes de la réunion de l'Assemblée Générale tenue à Nuremberg sont approuvées à l’unanimité.
4. Rapport du Président
UG a abordé l’historique des évènements du CIHA : le congrès de Nuremberg, le colloque de Naruto, le colloque de Marseille puis le futur colloque en mai 2015 à Zurich et le Congrès de Pékin en 2016.
UG revient sur le Congrès de Nuremberg et les Actes qui, grâce aux présidents de section et au travail des équipes du CIHA 2012, ont été publiés en quatre volumes richement illustrés. Il se réjouit de l'entrée de nouveaux comités et particulièrement de la venue d'un deuxième comité africain.
5. Rapport du Trésorier
Le rapport des comptes présenté par le trésorier PS, a été voté et approuvé.
6. Rapport et discussion sur le Congrès de Pékin 2016
LZ rappelle toutes les étapes de la finalisation du projet, depuis son adoption par l'Assemblée Générale au Congrès de Nuremberg. Il souligne que c'est la première fois qu’un pays organisateur a souhaité laisser le choix des présidents de sections au Bureau du CIHA. TD salue cet acte démocratique.
LZ précise que les présidents chinois ont été choisis de façon à ce que toutes les provinces du pays soient représentées et qu'il y ai un équilibre entre institutions de la culture et universités.
TD présente le sujet du congrès et rappelle qu'il s'inscrit dans une suite logique par rapport au Congrès de Nuremberg qui posait la question de l'objet et de la matérialité de l'oeuvre. A Pékin, ce sont les questions de terminologie, de définition, de classement, qui seront abordées dans le souci comparatif d'une histoire de l'art véritablement globale. Enfin a été évoquée la pré-conférence des présidents de sections qui aura lieu à Pékin en septembre 2015.
7. Présentation des candidatures et décision sur le(s) lieu(x) du Congrès CIHA 2020
Comme proposé lors de la réunion du Bureau de Paris d'Octobre 2013, le comité brésilien et le comité italien s'entendent pour co-organiser un congrès partagé à Florence (2019) et à Sao Paulo (2020). L'Assemblée Générale approuve cette coopération.
MF pour Florence et CMa pour Sao Paulo présentent ensemble leurs projets associés. MF insiste sur la nécessité de bien coordonner ce Congrès en quelque sorte double et qui a l'ambition large de parler de tous les arts. Elle exprime aussi une volonté de travailler conjointement avec le Brésil pour les sessions. A Florence, le thème sera "L'œil, la main et l'esprit". CMa évoque les possibilités de financement et le sujet actuellement à l'étude pour Sao Paulo sur « Métamorphoses et animisme ».
GW pose la question de savoir comment les deux concepts seront articulés entre Sao Paulo et Florence et propose le soutien de Kunst Historisches Institut de Florence. SN pose la question de la pertinence de deux lieux distincts pour un congrès, ce qui obligera à des voyages qui risquent d'être couteux et de ne pas pouvoir être financés par les institutions. PS répond à cette question en exprimant que c’est une manière de favoriser la coopération sans froisser les susceptibilités des pays candidats. Cette idée favorise également la pluralité des discours.
TD insiste sur le fait que cette structure en deux temps et deux pays pour un même congrès ne constitue pas un modèle obligé pour l'avenir mais répond à l'existence de deux candidatures excellentes entre lesquelles il aurait été dommageable d'avoir à choisir. Quoi qu'il en soit ce sera une expérience importante.
UG rappelle enfin l’intérêt de deux manifestations.
Suite à ces discussions a eu lieu le vote et l’approbation.
MF a la volonté d’organiser un colloque fin 2015, en parallèle à l’exposition « Barroci et Parmiggiano » à Florence, en collaboration avec Claudia Cierivia. Le sujet sera proche de celui de l’exposition à travers le dessin, la lumière, la couleur et la composition des œuvres des disciples de Raphaël jusqu’à l’art moderne (Caillebotte). Il s'agira aussi de comprendre comment les œuvres sont exposées et analysées à travers le monde.
TD donne la parole à Isabelle Lecocq du Comité belge d'histoire de l'art qui annonce pour 2015 un colloque pour les 500 ans de l’avènement de François Ier. Elle exprime la volonté d’organiser ce colloque en faisant porter l'accent sur les relations artistiques entre François Ier et le Nord et l’impact des artistes nordiques en France (portraits de cour réalisés par des peintres flamands). Elle veut aussi intégrer la musique, les lettres (l’humanisme). Le colloque se tiendrait à l’Institut royal artistique, en novembre 2015. Ce projet sera mené avec l’Académie d’archéologie (avec Fagnard), qui prendra en charge la publication des actes.
8. Colloque 2015 (Zürich & Rio de Janeiro)
CMa a ouvert la discussion avec le colloque qui aura lieu à Rio en 2015 “New Worlds.”. Un projet qui nécessite la coopération entre les différentes institutions brésiliennes. L’objectif est d’amener toutes les couleurs de l’art international au Brésil. Il exprime également la volonté d’amener des étudiants, y compris du monde entier, grâce à des fonds privés (mécénats). Le comité d’organisation déjà établi et l'appel à communication sera lancé en septembre 2014.
PS s’exprime ensuite sur le colloque de Zurich en 2015 qui aura pour thématique la « crise », qui bien entendu ne se limite pas à sa signification économique. L’emploi du temps est déjà organisé (polycopié distribué). L’appel à la communication sera lancé la semaine suivante, le 1 juillet 2014.
Tous les appels à la communication sont relayés par le secrétariat scientifique.
JA évoque la création de l’association d’histoire de l’art en Australie sur l’art asiatique contemporain. En avril 2015, un colloque sera organisé avec ou sans la participation du CIHA, avec toutefois la possibilité de le faire en février.
9. Statuts et organisation du CIHA
TW présente la révision des statuts qui restent à clarifier et à moderniser. Il affiche à l'Assemblée Générale, par powerpoint les propositions du groupe de travail sur la révision des statuts et propose au secrétaire scientifique d'envoyer à tous les comités ses propositions et de demander à tous les membres du CIHA de lui faire part de leurs observations et suggestions avant la fin de l'année 2014. C'est à la prochaine Assemblée Générale qu'une rédaction révisée des statuts du CIHA sera soumise au vote des membres.
10. Questions diverses
MV du CFHA demande si une médiation internationale de l’affaire du musée franco-allemand à Montpellier pourrait aider à critiquer cette décision et valoriser le travail fait depuis 10 ans par les équipes du musée.

1. Welcome
The representatives of the new art history’s committee of CIHA are presented to the members of the General Assembly and define briefly the action which they intend to lead within the CIHA and the perspectives which are theirs inside them respective countries: Irena Krasevac for Croatia and Rachida Triki for Tunisia. All express to will to form and to welcome more art historians and to press, by means of the CIHA, on the patrimonial politics.
MC presents then the publication of the acts of the colloquium of Maribor (May 2011), Art and Architecture around 1400. Global and Regional Perspectives, with the financial support of Maribor Capital European of the Culture in 2012. TD congratulates her on this new and fascinating contribution to the bibliography of the CIHA.
CP, new president of the French Committee of Art History (CFHA), welcomes the participants to the General Assembly and is delighted at the fact that the CFHA, seven years after the colloquium, Art History and Anthropology, organizes again, on the initiative of TD, a colloquium touching the question of the civilization and the place of the art.
2. Approval of the minutes (15 and 18.07.2012)
The minutes of the meeting of the General Assembly held in Nuremberg are unanimously approved.
3. Report of the President
UG approached the history of the events of the CIHA: the congress of Nuremberg, the colloquium of Naruto, the colloquium of Marseille than the future colloquium in May 2015 in Zurich and the congress of Beijing in 2016.
UG returns on the Congress of Nuremberg and the Acts which, thanks to the presidents of section and to the work of the teams of the CIHA in 2012, were published in four volumes richly illustrated. He is delighted at the entry of new committees and particularly at the coming of the second African committee.
4. Treasurer’s Report
The report of the accounts was presented by the treasurer PS, was voted and approved.
5. Report and discussion about the Congress of Beijing 2016
LZ reminds all the stages of the finalization of the project, since its adoption by the General Assembly at the congress of Nuremberg. He stressed that it is the first time when an organizing country wished to leave the choice of the sections’ presidents of the Bureau of the CIHA. TD greets this democratic act.
LZ specifies that the Chinese presidents were chosen so that all the provinces of the country are represented and there was a balance between institutions of the culture and universities.
TD presents the subject of the congress and reminds that it joins in a logical result with regard to the congress of Nuremberg which raised the question of the objet and the materiality of the work. In Beijing, they are the questions of terminology, definition, classification which will be approached on the comparative concern of a really global art history.
Finally was evoked the pre-conference of the presidents of sections which will take place in Beijing in September 2015.
6. Presentation of applications and decision of the place of the Congress CIHA on 2020
As proposed during the meeting of the Bureau of Paris in October 2013, the Brazilian committee and the Italian committee get on to co-organize a congress shared to Florence (2019) and in Sao-Paulo (2020). The General Assembly approves this cooperation.
MF for Florence and CMa for Sao-Paulo present together their associated projects. MF insists on the necessity of coordinating well this congress in a way double and which has the wide ambition to speak all the arts. She also expresses a will to work together with the Brazil for the sessions. To Florence, the theme will be “The eye, the hand and the spirit”. CMa evokes the possibilities of financing and the subject at present in the study for Sao-Paulo on “Metamorphoses and animism”.
GW asks the question to know how both concepts will be articulated between Sao-Paulo and Florence and proposes the support of Kunst Historisches Institut of Florence.
SN asks the question of the relevance of two different places for a congress, which will require travel that may be expensive and not to be able to be financed of by institutions.
PS answers this question by expressing that it is a way of favoring the cooperation without offending the susceptibilities of candidate countries. This idea also favors the plurality of the speeches.
TD insists on the fact that this structure in two phases and two countries for the same congress does not establish a model obliged for the future but answers the existence of two excellent applications between which it would have been damaging to have to choose. Anyway it will be an important experience.
IG reminds finally the interest of both events.
Further of theses discussion took place the vote and the approval.
MF has the will to organize a colloquium at the end of 2015, in parallel to the exhibition “Barroci and Parmiggiano” to Florence, in association with Claudia Cierivia. The subject will be close to that of the exhibition through the drawing, the light, the color and the composition of the works of the followers of Raphael until the modern art (Caillebotte). It will also understand how works are exhibited and analyzed throughout the world.
TD hands over to IL of the Belgian Committee of art history which announces for 2015 a colloquium for 500 years of François Ier’s advent. She expresses the will to organize this colloquium by shifting the emphasis on the artistic relationship between François Ier and the North and the impact of the Nordic artists in France (court portraits by Flemish painters). She also wants to integrate music, letter (humanism). The colloquium will be held at the Royal Art Institute in November 2015. The project will be conducted with the Archaeological Academy (with Fagnard), which will support the publication the acts.
7. Colloquium 2015 (Zürich & Rio de Janeiro)
CMa opened the discussion with the colloquium which will take place in Rio de Janeiro in 2015 : “New Worlds”. A project which requires the cooperation between the various Brazilian institutions. The objective is to bring all the colors of the international art in Brazil. He also expresses the will to bring students, including whole world, thanks to private funds. The organizing committee already established and the call for papers will be launched in September 2014.
PS expresses himself then on the colloquium of Zurich in 2015 which have for theme the “Crisis”, which naturally does not limit itself to its economic meaning. The timetable is already organized. The call for papers will be launched next week, on July 1 st , 2014.
All the calls for papers are relieved by the scientific secretariat.
JA evokes the creation of the association of art history in Australia on the contemporary Asian art. In April 2015, a colloquium will be organized with or without the participation of the CIHA, with however the possibility of making it in February.
8. Statutes and organization of the CIHA
TW presents the revision of the statutes which remain to clarify and to modernize. He shows to the General Assembly, by powerpoint, the proposals of the working group on the evision of the statutes and suggests to the scientific secretary sending to all committees its proposals and asking to all the members of the CIHA to submit their comments and suggestions before the end of 2014. It was to the next General Assembly that a writing revised by the statutes of the CIHA will be subjected in the vote of the members.
9. Any other business
MV of CFHA asks is an international mediation of the affair of the French-German museum in Montpellier could help to criticize the decision and to value th work made for 10 years by the teams of the museum.
